¨Carla
Garippo
(pomdance,
hiphop), received her initial
dance training from the Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance in ballet, tap,
jazz, hip-hop, and Pointe. During the last 8 years, her dance concentration
has been in choreography with an emphasis in hip hop, jazz, and pomdance.
¨Connie
Fagan
(pre-ballet/jazz/tap/lyrical), a member of performance Company
Same Planet, Different World, former member of Rhythm ISS, an
all-female tap ensemble, and currently dances with Jay Fagan in Sibling
Rivalry, begins her 9th season with the studio.
¨Corey
Nagel
(modern, pretap & preballet) is the Artistic Director of the Studio’s
Matrix Dance Improv & founding member of Jazz Spectrum. Her
performance & training includes choreography for Columbia College,
LTHS, the Wilmette Children’s Theatre Festival, and Harper
College.
¨Cyndy
Soumar
(preballet and tap), brings over
25 years of teaching experience to the studio classroom. Her background
includes extensive training in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, musical
theater, flute performance, and voice.
¨Jacqueline
Farina
(ballet)
Her dance studies and performances have taken her from Mexico to England,
Germany and France. She is a former member and soloist with the Ballet
Nacional De Danza Clasica De Mexico and Soul y Duende.
¨Jay
Fagan
(tap) is a
nationally and internationally recognized tap Master, professional dance
choreographer, and former co-director of Especially Tap Chicago (ETC).
Jay has performed all over the world, and most recently performed with
his sister Connie Fagan in Sibling Rivalry. He spent the 2008-2009
academic year on staff at Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, OK
teaching tap, jazz, and musical theater.
¨Jean
Hartnett
(jazz),
begins her 16th season with the Studio and celebrates her 25 years of dance
studies which includes industrial, commercial, and social dance projects.
¨Judy
Rediehs
(yoga & pilates),an associate of Paulette Delcourt, has been a Yoga
instructor for over 6 years. She is AAA-ISMA Phase I & II Yoga Instructor
Certified

K. Baiocchi (preballet & kindeballet) received her classical
training in ballet from Stone & Camryn of Chicago and Indiana University
under Jurgen Pagels and Anna Paskevska. She continued her dance training at
Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago where she received a full dance
scholarship studying with noted dance instructors Lou Conte, Greg Begley,
Warren Conover and Claire Bataille. Ms. Baiocchi graduated from Loyola
University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1985. Throughout her
dance career, she has performed in various dance industrials as well as
ballet productions such as Salt Creek Ballet's
Nutcracker and
Sherry Moray's
La Boutique Fantasque.
For over 12 years, she has taught all levels of jazz and ballet.
¨Melissa
(Missy) Smith
(ballet, jazz, & hiphop)
has been with the studio for the past 4 years. She has a formal dance
background in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and has been teaching preschool
through adult for the past 9 years.
¨Paulette
Delcourt
(yoga & zumba),
is a mind/body expert who
has brought her unique brand of teaching to Jo’s Footwork. Over her career
she has touched hundreds of people in thousands of classes with her healing
and humor. Her training and certifications include personal training, yoga,
bodywork, energy healing and wellness and life coaching. She also is an
entrepreneur, neighbor, and loving friend to many in our community.
¨Roberta
Garippo
(jazz, tap,
pre-ballet),
received her dance training in
jazz, ballet, modern, jazz & hip hop from Ruth Page, Lou Conte, Joel Hall,
Gus Giordano, & The Dance Academy (Hollywood, FL). She has performed as a
back up dancer for Neil Young, Jai Will, and Twista’s.
¨Sequoia
Rada
(tap)
A student of dance for over 14 years in ballet, jazz, modern, hiphop, and
tap, has been an assistant instructor to Jay and Connie Fagan, Jean
Hartnett, and Jackie Farina for over 4 years in addition to attending
various dance workshops in jazz and tap.
¨Teri
Lane
(tap, jazz, ballet)
has an extensive dance background having been DMA certified at the age of
15, a graduate of the U of I, Champagne, & has choreographed, produced, and
performed with over 5 theater companies throughout Chicago. |
